DNS Server PDF Print

Domain Name System (DNS) is a system serving for transformation of Domain Names in IP addresses (e.g. 123.123.123.123). Using this system saves the user the necessity to remember series of numbers.

The IP addresses and Domain Names information is stored on the DNS Servers. The DNS is a distributed tree-like system of Servers bound via a logical hierarchy.

We use the BIND Software to configure the Master and the Slave Domain Names Servers. Using this service will enable all computers in the Global Network to know about your new Domain or about the change of a Subdomain in the respective Domain Name Zone.

Example for Domain: domain.com

Example for Subdomain: www.domain.com
